Somehow We’re Hurdling Backwards in Time

Is it just me or am I the only one feeling like gay people are slowly degrading the population of the United States? It seems like for the past few years the gay community had been trying to fit in but they slowly started to want more and more and instead of fitting in they’re slowly trying to get people to conform to them. To me it started when I first heard about the gays’ getting the right to marry, when that was stripped away from them they became more and more hostile. I don’t have a yea or nay response when it comes to gays getting marriage because I am not a fan of any sort of marriage, so who am I to advocate or deny marriage to anyone. I am neutral and I do not o influence or hinder anyone’s decision. What I most have a problem with is the fact that the gays want everything.

They demand tolerance and they demand acceptance yet they try with all they’re might to censor and to shut their dissenters down. Remember late last year when Anderson Cooper cried fowl because the word gay was not uttered in its “intended” use to describe the flaws of electric vehicles, while many seen no problem with it and though the joke was clearly unfunny, gays lambasted it and demanded that the trailer be edited with the “offensive” word removed. News flash gay activists and gay people of America before the word gay was used as a noun or to describe homosexuality it was used as an adjective to describe a person, place, or thing as lighthearted and carefree. I’m sure Vince Vaughn’s character didn’t mean it that way, but a lot of Gays see fires before they’ve even seen the smoke; many times these are fires that they’ve inevitably started themselves.

Another way Gays have set back the United States if not the world is by the smug and cavalier way they treat people, they demand respect and have these really abrasive attitudes that even clash among their own kind. Kindness and understanding is earned, it is not something you can demand. It seems almost akin to that of a spoiled child, almost like “I can’t get my way so you cannot get your either.” So what, you cannot get married to each other, why do you need a church or Government, that demeans and admonishes and condemns you with every chance they get, to decide what you can and cannot do? You want to marry? There are ways you can live cohesively and marry without the hubbub. Oh, I get it you like the hubbub, you want the spectacle, you want everyone to know and it to be flashy and expensive and you also want the title, it’s a little sad what people prioritize in life.

A while ago I talked to a friend of mine who bought up an excellent point, gay people in the US are trying to set themselves up as martyrs and an under represented minority. The truth is gay people are not a minority, it may consist of a minority groups but in my city there is a huge section that is inhabited by gays, making straight people more and more the minority. This unnamed friend went on to explain why he didn’t vote for gay people to have the right to marry in the ’08 elections, he said that gays were not a minority, “they’re not blacks or Jews who have been persecuted for centuries (and often times millennia), they can’t just demand for something to happen because they feel that it’s owed to them.” While many may disagree with this I feel that there is some truth in his words, just because you want something badly doesn’t mean that you get to have it right this instant.

For me it’s easy to see why people get frustrated with gays, they’re a group that incites this sort of loathing onto themselves, they aren’t progressing the future they’re leaving us at a stale mate and pushing up back, what’s next we burn and destroy every book, album, and movie, all written and spoken words that contain offensive words to some. And lastly who made this small group of people in charge of how all gay people feel, once again it’s one small portion of a small group deciding what’s good for the rest of the country. Ladies and gentleman I’d like to introduce you to something called the 1st Amendment, which allows us, as American citizens, to have freedom of speech.
